Joanna and I headed over to Purdue University on Wednesday, March 25 for the Advanced Manufacturing Summit VIII. The topic this year was "The Economic and Environmental Benefits of Sustainable Manufacturing". The speaker line up was top notch, including speakers from NIST, the EPA and the Indiana State Department of Commerce, amongst others. The team here will be investigating the Green Supplier Network and keeping tabs on the "green" legislation pending in congress so we stay on top of the potential impacts to manufacturers.
If you are a manufacturer looking to cut costs, looking for ways to lower your energy and utility spend is just common sense. If you are feeling trapped by your operating costs, be sure to give the Zone team a call and we can help you find possible points of savings.
